% 22.02.2018 Respondent no. 2 Ms. Varsha is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Navneet Singh of police station Nihal Vihar.

Respondent no.2 says that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 5th August, 2016 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner no. 1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 19th May, 2017 passed by the Family Court, West District, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi.

Petitioner no.1 has paid `20,000/- to the respondent no.2

today in Court. Respondent no.2 submits that entire settled amount of `60,000/- stands paid with this payment and she has no objection in case the FIR is quashed against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 5.

Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 583/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Nihal Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
