This is a petition filed under Section 29A(4)&(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 6 months for concluding the Arbitral proceedings. 5.

It is stated that the arguments of the petitioner and the respondent have taken place and now the matter is only fixed for rejoinder arguments of the petitioner.

I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown for the delay. 8.

For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a period of 6 months from today to conclude and make and publish the Arbitral Award. 9.

The observations in paras 6 and 7 of the order dated 04.03.2024 passed in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 166/2024 shall also apply to the parties. 10.

The petition is disposed of.
