This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator by a period of 08 months.

Disputes having arisen between the parties in relation to Letter of Award dated 18.04.2016 issued in favour of the Petitioner by the Respondent for the work of Construction of SPS Building of Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya No. 1 and Govt. Boys Senior Secondary School, New Delhi, Petitioner filed petition under Section 11(6) of 1996 Act in this Court, being ARB.P. 586/2022, which was allowed vide order dated 27.03.2023 appointing a Sole Arbitrator. Mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator has expired on 23.07.2025 and the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of final arguments.

Issue notice.

Ms. Saloni Mahajan, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent and on instructions, submits that Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the Sole Arbitrator. 5.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator is extended by a period of 09 months from 25.08.2025 and period between 24.07.2025 to 24.08.2025 is regularized. 6.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
