O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 686/2025 1.

This is a petition filed under section 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of six months from 20.08.2025 for making and passing the final Award.

It is stated by the counsel for the petitioner that the final Award has already been reserved by the learned Sole Arbitrator, however, same is not yet been delivered, and hence the delay.

Mr Aneesh, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and states that he has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.

I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. 6.

For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of six months from 20.08.2025. 7.

The period from 20.08.2025 till today stands regularized. 8.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
