The petitioner, who has retired from the services of the respondent - Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board ["DUSIB"], has filed the present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, seeking the following reliefs:

"a. Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, thereby directing the Respondent to grant the arrears of gratuity and other pensionary benefits to the Petitioner after taking into account the period spent as daily wage/ad-hoc/muster roll/contingency;

b. Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, thereby directing the Respondnt to regularise the services of the Petitioner on the post of Deputy Director (Horticulture) w.e.f. 01.07.2007 with all consequential benefits including that of MACP with effect from 2017 or; c. Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, thereby setting aside Item 31 of O.M dated 21.11.2022 bearing No. DOPT-1669022409144 issued by the Government of India Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training and granting all necessary financial upgradation to the Petitioner; W.P.(C) 12810/2025 Page 1 of 2 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. d. Pass any such other or further order as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and appropriate in the facts and circumstances of the case in favour of the Petitioner."

The petitioner's representations before DUSIB were considered, and replies were issued on 01.07.2024 and 01.10.2024. The latest reply dated 01.10.2024, states as follows:

"1. The matter related to counting of half service is under process and pertains to coordination branch.

2. The matter related to grant of MACP w.e.f 2017 is under examination." 3.

Ms. Meghna De, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied if DUSIB is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation expeditiously. 4.

In view of the fact that the reliefs sought by the petitioner are, according to DUSIB, already under administrative consideration, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that DUSIB will treat the present writ petition as a representation and pass a reasoned and speaking order within a period of eight weeks from today.
