% 21.02.2018 Petitioner is seeking extension of the parole which is now slated to expire on 27.02.2018. The reason for the extension of the parole is that the wife of the petitioner has suffered a complication pursuant to a surgery conducted upon her on 08.02.2018. This was a surgery for Pelvic Peritonitis. She has thereafter developed abscess and pus in her pelvic region and the doctor has advised her to get it removed and the date fixed is 03.03.2018.

On advance notice, learned counsel for the State has put in appearance. She has filed a status report. Her submission is that as per the verification report and under instructions from the investigating officer, the wife of the petitioner is presently at home. She is having antibiotics. The abscess and pus which she has

developed in the pelvic region has to be drained out; it would be under local anaesthesia. Learned counsel for the state points out that the petitioner should advise his wife to get the pus positively removed on the said date as the petitioner being a convict under Section 302 of the IPC and having availed of the benefit of parole already for a period of three weeks should not be considered again in case the abscess is not removed on 03.03.2018. It is impressed upon the petitioner that he must get the surgical intervention on his wife on 03.03.2018 as is the date fixed by the doctor. Parole of the petitioner is accordingly extended for 10 days to be counted from 27.02.2018 on the same terms and conditions. Needless to state that petitioner will surrender immediately on expiry of the period of parole. Petition disposed of in the above terms.
