% 22.02.2018 Respondent no.2-Ms. Sahiba Narang Kakar is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by W/SI Manju Yadav of police station Janak Puri. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 before the Counselling Cell, Family Court, West District, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 27th January, 2017 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent passed by the Family Court, West District, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 2nd January, 2018. Petitioner no.1 has paid `7 lacs
to the respondent no.2 today in Court. Respondent no.2 submits that entire settled amount of `26 lacs stands paid with this payment and she has no objection in case FIR is quashed against the petitioner no.1 and his mother, that is, petitioner no. 2.
Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 1054/2015 under Sections 498A/406 IPC registered at police station Janak Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
