The petitioner applied to the post of Sub Station Attendant Grade II (Male) in respondent No. 2 - Delhi Transco Limited, as advertised by respondent No. 1 - Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board. His grievance is that although he was selected and a provisional offer of appointment was issued to him on 21.04.2025, his appointment has not yet been formalised.

In the writ petition, it is noted that the petitioner is facing criminal proceedings [FIR No. 699/2023 registered with P.S. Harduaganj, District Aligarh, U.P.] under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. Mr. Bibek Tripathi, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the pendency of the criminal proceedings was disclosed in the attestation form submitted by the petitioner. He further submits that, by an order dated 04.08.2025 in Subhash Chandra Gautam v. The State of U.P. & Anr. [SLP (Criminal) Diary No. 37054/2025], the Supreme Court has stayed further proceedings in connection with the pending FIR. A copy of the said order is taken on record and has been handed over to Ms. Aliza Alam, learned counsel for the respondents, who appears on advance notice.

Ms. Alam states that the matter is still under consideration of the respondents, and a final decision with regard to the petitioner's appointment will be taken within four weeks from today. 5.
The respondents are directed to take the final decision within the aforesaid time, treating the averments in the writ petition as a representation.

The writ petition, alongwith pending application, is disposed of, leaving all rights and contentions of the parties open.
