The present petition has been filed by the petitioner assailing an order dated 29.06.2022 issued by the Foreign Regional Registration Officer, Bureau of Immigration, Chennai under paragraph 6(1) of the Foreigners Order, 1948 (issued by the Government of India), whereby the petitioner, an Overseas Citizen of India was denied entry into India on account being declared as 'INADMISSIBLE PAX to Government of India'. 2.

During the course of proceedings, learned counsel for the respondents submits that the Review Committee has considered the matter, and taken a decision in favour of the petitioner. It is assured and undertaken that the decision taken by the Review Committee shall be communicated to the petitioner expeditiously.

It is further submitted that in view of the decision of the Review Committee, there is no impediment for the petitioner to travel to India.
