Crl. M.C. 725/2017 This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. moved by the petitioner for quashing of FIR No.242/2014, under Sections 354/354A IPC, registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj (North).
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is a Trustee and the respondent No.2 is a Teacher in Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. He further submits that due to misunderstanding arisen between them, the aforesaid FIR has been registered. He also submits that after the registration of the said FIR, the near relatives and close friends intervened and the matter has been amicably settled between them vide Settlement Deed dated 16.10.2016 and that nothing remains to be
adjudicated further. He further submits that the present FIR is coming as a hurdle in the peaceful life of the petitioner and respondent No.2 and requests that the present FIR may be quashed.
The respondent No.2 is present in person and has been identified by the Investigating Officer, SI Neeraj Kumar and admits that she has amicably resolved all the disputes with the petitioner voluntarily without there being any threat, coercion or pressure of any sort. She further submits that she has no objection, if the present FIR is quashed.
Keeping in view the above facts and circumstances, since the matter has been amicably settled between the parties and nothing is to be adjudicated further and also to have peace in the personal life of the parties and to keep a better atmosphere in the school and management, I deem it appropriate to quash the FIR in question. Consequently, to meet the ends of justice, the FIR No. 242/2014, under Sections 354/354A IPC, registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj (North) and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
