Learned counsel for the respondents states that in terms of the 'Directions' issued on 11.10.2017, calling upon the respondents to examine the matter of equivalence of degrees by approaching the All India Institute of Technical Education to constitute a Committee, a Committee was constituted that had conducted a meeting on 10.1.2018 and submitted a report to the respondents stating inter alia that the petitioners possess the W.P.(C) 2460/2017
requisite qualifications in the appropriate branches. A copy of the minutes of the meeting of the Committee dated 10.01.2018, constituted by the AICTE is handed over by the learned counsel for the respondents along with a copy of the letter dated 04.4.2018 addressed by the Department and taken on record.

In view of the fact that report of the Committee is favourable to the petitioners, nothing further survives in these petitions. The respondents shall not disqualify the petitioners or hold them ineligible on the ground that they do not fulfil the eligibility criteria. Instead, the candidature of the petitioners shall be considered alongwith the others and the selection made on merits. 3.
The present petitions are disposed of.
