By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks grant of parole for a period of four weeks. Upon issuance of notice, the State was directed to file a status report.

A status report dated 15.12.2025 has been handed over in Court today and is taken on record.

Para 10 and 11 of the said status report reads thus:- "10. That, it is also significant that the said convict has recently availed 02 weeks parole w.e.f. 12.11.2025 to 26.11.2025 granted by the Hon'ble Delhi High Court vide order dated 10.11.2025 in W.P.(Crl.) No. 3500/2025 on the ground to maintain family and social ties and to perform important familial rituals.

That the above said convict is not eligible for grant of parole in view of Rule 1210(V) of Delhi Prison Rules, 2018, which provides that:- Rule 1210 sub rule (V):- "A minimum of six months ought to have elapsed from the date of surrender on the conclusion of the previous parole availed. even if minimum period of six months has not elapsed from the date of termination of previous parole. The emeregency may include delivery of a child by the wife of the convict, death of a family member, marriage of children, terminal illness of family members and natural calamities."

In view of the aforesaid and having regard to the statutory bar contained in Rule 1210(V) of the Delhi Prison Rules, 2018, the present petition is not maintainable and is accordingly dismissed.
