Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

The prayer clause of the writ petition reads as under:- "a. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ of similar nature directing the Respondents No. 1 to 4 to identify and restrain/ban the functioning of applications promoting illegal betting and gambling such as 1xbet, 4RABET, 1win, 12BET.COM, DAFABET, MOSTBET and any other application(s) of similar nature with no license or registration in India; and/or; b. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ of similar nature directing Respondent Ministry of Information and Technology and any other competent authority to restrain any advertisement of such illegally run gaming/gambling/betting applications on any media forum including but not limited to broadcasting, print media, Radio, social media, google search results etc." The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. When we drew the attention of learned counsel for the petitioner to an Act passed by the Parliament, namely; The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 (Act 32 of 2025), which has came into effect from 22.08.2025, it has been stated by him that the concerns raised in this petition, such as; the Functioning of Certain Apps, Promoting Illegal Betting and Gambling will not be covered by the provisions of the said Act and the petitioner has represented his cause by way of making a representation to the authorities on 08.04.2025.

Since a new Law has been enacted and even after enactment of the said Law, if petitioner's grievances, according to him, have not been redressed, he is permitted to make a exhaustive representation to the authorities concerned drawing their attention about the alleged running of Gambling Apps taking all the pleas which may be available to the petitioner in law and enclosing all the document on which he intends to rely. The said representation shall be made within a fortnight from today and in case any such representation is made, the same shall be attended to by the authorities concerned and appropriate action, which may be deemed appropriate and legally permissible, shall also be taken by the authorities, with expedition.

With the aforesaid observations and directions, the writ petition and pending applications stand disposed of.
