% 22.02.2018 Respondent no.2-Ms. Anuradha Garg is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Dhananjay Kumar of police station Tilak Nagar. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent passed by the Family Court, West District, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi on 17th January, 2017. Petitioner has paid `1 lac to the respondent no.2 today in Court vide demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no.2 submits that entire settled amount of `5 lacs stands paid with this payment

and she has no objection in case FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 542/2013 under Section 498A IPC registered at police station Tilak Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
