This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator by a period of 01 year.

Disputes having arisen between the parties in relation to Development Agreement dated 24.02.2007 executed between the parties, Petitioner filed a petition under Section 11(6) of 1996 Act in this Court being ARB.P. 126/2023, which was allowed on 11.04.2023, appointing a Sole Arbitrator. Pleadings stood completed on 26.08.2024 and mandate of the learned Arbitrator has expired on 26.08.2025. Arbitral proceedings are at the stage of commencement of evidence.

Respondents and on instructions, submits that Respondents have no objection to the extension of mandate of the Arbitrator. 5.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended by a period of 12 months from 27.08.2025. 6.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
