Through the present petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, the petitioner has sought directions to respondent no. 1 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is seeking protection of her life and liberty as on 02.08.2025, respondents no. 2 and 3, along with their associates, forcibly entered her residence, threatened to burn the house, assaulted her and her family members, and manhandled her minor daughter. Subsequent incidents on 05.08.2025 and 06.08.2025 involved further threats at her husband's godown. Though FIR No. 509/2025 was registered belatedly, no effective action has been taken. The petitioner and her family continue to live under grave threat, necessitating immediate police protection.

It is submitted that, in this regard, the petitioner has already made a complaint to the SHO, PS - Bharat Nagar, Delhi. 6.
Accordingly, it is prayed that this Court may be pleased to grant protection to the petitioner and her family.

At this stage, Ms. Rupali Bandhopadhya, learned ASC, appearing for the State fairly submits that the petitioner ought to be protected. She submits that SHO/Beat Officer of the concerned area will be sensitized and the petitioner shall be provided with the number of the SHO/Beat Officer, and he will be at the liberty to call the officer as and when they apprehend any threat to their life and liberty.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, on instructions, has no objection to the submission made by the learned ASC. 9.
Therefore, in view of the above facts and submissions, let the number of SHO/Beat Officer of PS - Bharat Nagar be provided to the petitioner in the due course of the day so that the petitioners may contact such concerned police officials in case of emergency.
