The Petitioner is a convict in FIR No. 109/2008 registered at P.S. Saraswati Vihar under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code, 1860. 2.
As per nominal roll as on 10th September, 2025, he has been in custody for 14 years, 7 months and 28 days. His jail conduct for the past year has been found to be satisfactory. However, his request for parole was rejected by order dated 12th August 2025, citing apprehensions that his release may disturb the peace in the area and that there is a likelihood of him absconding.

It is noted that this apprehension has been raised as the Petitioner's overall jail conduct includes a punishment dated 17th January 2023, imposed for late surrender, delayed by 1 year and 11 months. Nonetheless, the Petitioner was not arrested and he surrendered voluntarily. of incarceration, and the fact that over two years have elapsed since the last recorded punishment, the Petitioner's request for parole is allowed. Accordingly, the Petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of four weeks, on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of INR 25,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent, subject to the following conditions: (i) The Petitioner shall report to the concerned SHO(s) once a week on every Monday during the period of parole.
(ii) The Petitioner shall furnish his telephone number to the SHO(s) concerned, which the Petitioner will keep operational at all times. (iii) The Petitioner shall surrender before the Jail Authorities at the expiry of the period of parole.
