This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 412/12 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Sultanpuri, Delhi. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner No.1 and Respondent No.2 are living together happily in the matrimonial home since 14.07.2017.

Respondent No.2/ Complainant Ms. Preeti is present before the Court with her counsel and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and she is living happily in the matrimonial home since 14.07.2017. It is further informed that she is on family way.

The petition is supported by the affidavits of the parties. 4.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties and the complainant is living with petitioner No.1 in the matrimonial home, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Section 498A/406/34 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No. 412/12 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Sultanpuri, Delhi and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 5.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
