This is a petition filed under section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of one year for concluding the arbitral proceedings and passing the final Award.

It is stated that the arbitral records are very voluminous and hence, the delay in concluding the arbitral proceedings. 3.

For the said reasons, issue notice to the respondent. 4.

Ms. Dugar, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and states that he has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.

I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. 6.

For the reasons noted above, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of one year from 27.08.2025. 7.

The period from 27.08.2025 till today stands regularised. 8.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
