The petitioner in the instant petition prays for the following reliefs:- "(a) allow the instant Petition and extend the mandate of the Ld. Arbitral Tribunal for a period of four months from the date of passing the order of this Hon'ble Court so that an award can be passed in the matter; (b) pass such fu1ther Order(s) and/or Direction(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case."

It is submitted that the extended mandate of the Arbitrator stood expired on 20.08.2025.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that various extensions have been granted and the arbitration proceedings have not been taken to its logical end.

In the interest of justice and for the reasons assigned in the petition, the Court deems it appropriate to extend the mandate of the Arbitrator for a period of four months from today.

The instant petition stands disposed of along with pending application.
