This is a petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ["the Act"] seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal, which is adjudicating disputes between the parties under eight Business Transfer Agreements dated 07.03.2017. 2.

The petitioner and respondent Nos.3 and 4 are claimants in the arbitral proceedings. Respondent Nos.1 and 2 are the respondents therein. 3.

The Arbitral Tribunal entered into the reference on 07.09.2021. The mandate of the Tribunal has been extended from time to time, lastly by order dated 05.03.2024 in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 180/2024. mandate of the Tribunal expired on 01.09.2024. 4.

In the meanwhile, it is stated that parties have settled their disputes, and an extension of the mandate is sought for a period of two months to enable a consent award to be passed.

Mr. Ajay Bhargava, learned counsel, appears on behalf of the respondent Nos. 1 and 2. Mr. S Aravindan, learned counsel, appears on behalf of the respondent Nos. 3 and 4. They state that they have no objection to the relief sought.

In view of the above, and with the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of two months w.e.f. 01.09.2024. 7.

The petition is disposed of.
