W.P.(CRL) 637/2018 Petitioners are seeking quashing of the present FIR i.e. the FIR No.0199/2017 registered under Sections 498A/377 of the IPC at police station Farsh Bazar on the complaint of respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 is the legally wedded of petitioner no.1. They had been married according to Hindu rites on 29.01.2017. Differences arose between the parties pursuant to which respondent no.2 left the matrimonial home. She had made certain allegations qua her husband; the aforenoted FIR was also registered. It is stated that this

FIR has been registered under the misunderstanding and misapprehension. Parties have now settled their disputes. The settlement arrived at Karkardooma Court, Mediation Cell is also a part of the record. Parties are present in person. They endorse the terms of the settlement. Respondent no.2 submits that she has been living with her husband for the last one year and she is happy. In view of above narration, this is fit case where the prayer made in the petition should be allowed. Accordingly, the FIR No.0199/2017 registered under Sections 498A/377 of the IPC at police station Farsh Bazar and all the proceedings emanating therefrom stand quashed.

Petition disposed of.
