% 23.02.2018 Petitioners are seeking quashing of the present FIR i.e. the FIR No.281/2016 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC ad also under Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act at police station New Usmanpur on the complaint of respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 is present. Her presence has been identified by the investigating officer. It is stated that the parties who had been married in the year 2014 could not pull along and they had agreed to go in for divorce by mutual consent. The decree of divorce by mutual consent is dated 20.11.2017. No child was born out of their wedlock. In terms of the settlement Rs.9,50,000/- have been agreed to be paid by petitioner no.1 to respondent no.2 towards full and final settlement of all her claims of which Rs.7,50,000/- already stands paid. The balance sum of Rs.2,00,000/- has been paid today by way of a demand draft. Parties having settled all their disputes, this is a fit case where the prayer made in the petitioner should be granted. Accordingly, to secure ends of justice, FIR No.0281/2016 registered under Sections
498A/406/34 of the IPC ad also under Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act at police station New Usmanpur and all the proceedings emanating therefrom stand quashed. Petition disposed of in the above terms.
