This is petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India r/w Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 seeking release of the petitioner on first spell of furlough for a period of three weeks.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that an application seeking furlough for a period of three weeks was submitted on 31st July, 2024. However, no response thereto has been received till date. 3.

Issue notice.

Notice is accepted by Ms. Rao, learned ASC (Crl.) who states that the said application shall be disposed of by the competent authority within a period of two weeks from today.

In view of the aforesaid statement, the present petition is disposed of by directing the competent authority to dispose of the application seeking furlough, dated 31st July, 2024 within a period of two weeks.
