The Petitioners have approached this Court for quashing FIR No.744/2022 dated 30.08.2022 registered at Police Station Sultanpuri for the offences punishable under Sections 498A, 506 & 34 IPC on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.

The present FIR is the outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the parties. It is stated that the parties have resolved their disputes by way of a settlement agreement dated 25.01.2024 entered into between the parties CRL.M.C. 7408/2024 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. before the Counselling Cell, Family Court, Tis Hazari, Delhi. 3.

The Petitioners are present in Court. Respondent No.2/Complainant has joined the proceedings through video-conferencing. The parties have been identified by the Investigating Officer. Respondent No.2/Complainant states that she has settled all her disputes with the Petitioners without any monetary consideration and out of her own free will, without pressure, coercion or undue influence. The parties undertake that they will remain bound by the terms of the settlement arrived at between them and the proceedings recorded before this Court 4.

In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties and in view of the fact that the instant case is squarely covered by the law laid down by the Apex Court in Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab, (2012) 10 SCC 303, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served in continuing with the present proceedings. Resultantly, FIR No.744/2022 dated 30.08.2022 registered at Police Station Sultanpuri for the offences punishable under Sections 498A, 506 & 34 IPC and the proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.

With these observations, the petition is disposed of along with pending application(s), if any.
