This petition has been filed seeking quashing of the FIR No. 301/2018 under Sections 498/406/34, registered at PS Begumpur. 2.

Counsel for petitioner contends that petitioners are the in-laws of complainant wife who was married to their son husband on 07th February, 2016.

He states that allegation which are made in the FIR as relatable to the in-laws are baseless considering that the couple had never stayed with the petitioners.

Further, he states that despite charge sheet having been filed on 17th August, 2020, the matter is pending and no charges have been framed as yet. The next date before the Court is 24th October, 2024.On this basis, he claims that FIR ought to be quashed.

In the opinion of this Court, these contentions do not merit quashing of the FIR. Without passing any observations on the merits, the petitioner is granted liberty to place their pleas before the Trial Court at the stage of arguments on charge, which will be considered on their merits. 6.

Petition is dismissed. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
