The petitioners, who are aspiring to join the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) having applied for the post of Constable/Tradesman pursuant to the advertisement issued in the year 2022, have approached this Court seeking the following reliefs:- "i. A direction to the Standing Committee of Respondent /CISF at CISF Headquarters may decide the correctness/antecedents of the documents produced by the Petitioners, showing their Proof in support of the fact that no case/FIR is pending against them, within Four weeks as no cases, whatsoever, are pending against the Petitioners herein and;

ii. Pass any such other or further order (s) in favor of the Petitioner(s) as deemed fit in the given fact and circumstances and in the interest of justice."

Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and submits that the petitioners' cases for appointment will be shortly put up for consideration before the Standing Screening Committee. 6.

In the light of the aforesaid stand taken by the respondent, we dispose of the present petition by directing the respondent to ensure that the cases of the petitioners are expeditiously placed for consideration before the Standing Screening Committee and a final decision regarding their candidature as Constable/Tradesman is taken within a period of eight weeks. 7.

Needless to state, in case, the petitioners are aggrieved by any order passed by the respondent, it will be open for them to seek legal recourse, as permissible in law.
