The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking issuance of writ, order or direction against the arbitrary conduct of the respondents, especially respondent no. 2 i.e. Maxfort School, Rohini, Delhi which has acted illegally The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. and with mala fide intentions by denying admission to the petitioner in its school even though the petitioner is entitled to get admission under Disadvantage Group (DG) Category.

Issue notice. Learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondent no.1/Directorate of Education („DoE‟).

None appears for respondent No. 2 School despite advance service. 6.

Learned counsel for the DoE states that there are some discrepancies in the admission form submitted by the petitioner. He states that in the application form, the details of the caste certificate pertain to the year 2002; whereas the Scheduled Caste certificate, annexed as Annexure P-5 in the present petition, was issued only on 08.07.2024. 7.

Learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the aforesaid submissions made by the learned counsel for the DoE. 8.

A perusal of the record reveals that the petitioner herein, admittedly, was not in possession of a valid caste certificate on the date of applying for admission and draw of lot.

Therefore, on the face of it, it is clear that the petitioner herein was not eligible for admission under DG category at the time when the application form for the admission was submitted. The prayer made by the petitioner thus cannot be granted.

The petition is accordingly dismissed.
