This petition has been filed seeking anticipatory bail in FIR No.192/2024 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC. The FIR was registered basis a complaint of the complainant who was married to the petitioner on 20th July, 2021 in Jaipur. It was second marriage of the complainant, who had already been divorced. After the marriage, the petitioner came to know that there was an FIR No.3/2017 registered against the first husband, levelling allegations of dowry demand. Since 06th January 2023, complainant was residing at a parental home along with their daughter. It is also contended that there are criminal cases against the father of the complainant.

This Court had directed the petitioner to appear before the Investigating Officer on 21st September 2024; it is informed that the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. petitioner has joined the investigation and there is no allegation that he has not co-operated in the investigation.

The settlement deed dated 20th July 2021, which have been entered into between the petitioner and the prosecutrix also lays down the terms of how they were expected to conduct their affairs pursuant to their proposed marriage and that they had agreed to marry out of their own consent. 4.

In any event considering these circumstances, the petitioner is granted anticipatory bail. Consequently, in the event of arrest the petitioner be released on bail on furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs. 25,000/- with one surety of the like amount subject to the satisfaction of the arresting officer/IO/SHO concerned, further subject to the condition that the petitioner will join investigation as and when directed and not influence any witness/complainant/victim or tamper with evidence of the case. 5.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
