By way of present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of FIR bearing no. 175/2017, registered at Police Fatehpur Beri, Delhi for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 452/323/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC').

Briefly stated, facts of the present case are that the petitioners herein and respondent nos. 2 to 4 are neighbours and live in the same locality and on 18.04.2017, due to some misunderstanding there was altercation took place between the petitioners and the respondents and resultantly the present FIR came to be registered against the present petitioners. It is stated that with the intervention of family and friends, both the parties have settled all their disputes vide Settlement Agreement dated 04.03.2025 executed at Delhi Mediation Centre, Saket, New Delhi.

On a query made by this Court, respondent nos. 2 to 4 who have been identified by the concerned IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat and have no objection if the present FIR is quashed. It is also stated by respondent no. 2 that he has received the entire amount of Rs. 7,00,000/- vide Demand Draft (DD) bearing no. 000101 dated 30.08.2025. 7.

In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, without any coercion and no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 8.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 175/2017, registered at Police Fatehpur Beri, Delhi for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 452/323/506/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
