The present petition has been filed under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by 18 months.

Counsel for the respondent, who appears on advance notice, supports the present petition.

Counsel for the parties jointly submit that the case has voluminous records and it would take some time to conclude the arbitral proceedings. 4.

In view of the aforesaid, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a further period of twelve (12) months from today. 5.

Counsel for the parties submit that the mandate had otherwise expired on 21st August, 2025.
