By way of the present writ petition, a prayer has been made by the petitioner for change of furnishing a surety bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/-, while he was granted furlough by the Competent Authority. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that he may be allowed to be released on furlough on furnishing cash surety, instead of furnishing surety bond.

This Court has heard the arguments, addressed on behalf of both the parties.

be released on furnishing personal bond. The said order also notes that earlier to that date also, the petitioner had been released on furnishing of personal bond and he had surrendered on time. There is no dispute that each time the petitioner was released on furnishing personal bond, he had surrendered on time.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, it is directed that the petitioner be released only on furnishing personal bond. Rest of the conditions contained in the order dated 10.06.2025, passed by the Competent Authority shall remain the same.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of. 8.
