By way of the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR bearing no. 265/2022, registered at Police Station Chhawla, Delhi for commission of offence punishable under Sections 420/467/468/471 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC').

Briefly stated, the facts of the present case are that as per the complaint of respondent no. 2, it is alleged that he sold a plot situated at Shyam Vihar, Phase-I, Najafgarh, New Delhi to one Rakesh Kumar Tyagi on 07.10.2015 for a consideration of ₹15 lakhs and executed all requisite documents, including the GPA, Sale Agreement, and Possession Letter. It is further alleged that the petitioner, in collusion with a Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police and others, attempted to unlawfully claim ownership of the said plot by relying on forged documents pertaining to a different property. They allegedly used threats, force, and influence to obstruct the purchaser's construction activities and even raised unauthorized construction on the plot. Despite multiple complaints made by respondent no. 2, no action was taken due to the petitioner's alleged influence with local authorities. Subsequently, the present FIR was registered on the complaint of respondent no. 2 against the petitioner.

It is stated that both the parties have amicably settled the present matter vide Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dated 27.11.2025, entered between them.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no.2, who has been identified by the concerned IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by respondent no. 2 that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties. Respondent no. 2 further states that he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 6.

purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 7.
Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 265/2022, registered at Police Station Chhawla, Delhi for commission of offence punishable under Sections 420/467/468/471 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to payment of costs of Rs.25,000/-, to be deposited with Delhi High Court Bar Clerk's Association, within a period of fifteen days from date under intimation to the Registry. 8.
In view of the above, the present petition stands disposed of. 9.
