On the last date of hearing, this Court noted that the parties had arrived at an amicable settlement vide Compromise-cum-Memorandum of Understanding dated 13.11.2025, in terms whereof the appellant agreed to pay a sum of Rs. 5,50,000/- to the respondents towards full and final settlement of all claims.

Learned counsel appearing for the appellant through V.C. submits that a sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- has already been received by the respondents, while the balance amount of Rs. 4,50,000/- is yet to be disbursed. He further refers to the order dated 27.11.2018, wherein this Court had recorded that the award amount had been deposited by the appellant before the Employees Compensation Commissioner. In this regard, reliance is placed on the certificate dated 03.10.2018, placed on record, which reflects that a total amount of Rs. 15,61,632/- was deposited through three demand drafts/cheques, namely: cheque No. 228938 for a sum of Rs. 2,00,000/-, cheque No. 912648 dated 23.01.2017 for a sum of Rs. 1,20,000/-, and cheque No. 308728 dated 13.09.2018 for a sum of Rs. 12,41,632/-, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. deposited by the appellant before the Commissioner, Employees Compensation.

Learned counsel appearing for the parties submit that they have no objection if a sum of Rs. 4,50,000/- is released to the claimants/respondents, and the balance amount is released to the appellant along with the interest accrued thereon till date.

The appellant shall be at liberty to approach the Commissioner under the Employees Compensation Act, who shall do the needful in terms of the order passed today.

The petition, along with pending applications, are disposed of accordingly.

A copy of this order be communicated to the Commissioner under the Employees Compensation Act for information and compliance. DASTI.
