This writ petition has been filed with a prayer to direct the Respondents No.1 and 2 / Delhi Development Authority to remove the encroachments from Khasra Nos. 546/491/421 Min, 548/492/421 Min, 562/424 Min, 431 Min, 432 Min, 421 Min, 426 Min and 423 of village Jasola, which is a land belonging to DDA and further to direct the Delhi Development Authority to re-fix DDA sign boards on the land in question and to ensure that no further encroachments take place. Though the petition was initially listed before the Single Bench, having regard to the statement of the learned counsel for the Petitioner that it has been filed in public interest, the matter was directed to be listed before this Bench by order dated 01.08.2016.

We have heard the learned counsel for both the parties. 3.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, instead of directing the Respondents to file the response and keeping the writ petition pending, we consider it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a W.P.(C) No.6674/2016 Page 1 of 2

direction to the Respondent No.1 to consider the issues raised in the writ petition by treating the same as a representation and take appropriate action following due process of law, if the allegations in the writ petition are found to be true. The action taken shall be communicated to the petitioner within eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order and if still aggrieved, the Petitioner is at liberty to institute fresh proceedings as permissible under law.
