1. The petition was filed at a stage when the Petitioner had been picked up by the police and the family was not aware of his whereabouts. However, a status report has been filed today by Inspector Rakesh Kumar, Station House Officer, PS Narela that a warrant of arrest was issued on 20th February 2018 from the Court of Assistant Collector, Narela and pursuant thereto the Petitioner was arrested on 21st February 2018 and sent to Tihar Jail. The arrest was as a result of the alleged non-payment of Rs. 2,53,932/- by the Petitioner to the Delhi State Co-operative Bank Ltd.

2. In view of the above development, there is no occasion for the Court to issue any directions in the present petition seeking a writ of habeas corpus. While expressing no opinion as to the legality of the action taken, the Court W.P.(CRL) 596/2018

leaves it open to the Petitioner to seek other appropriate remedies in relation thereto in accordance with law.

3. The petition is disposed of.

4. A copy of the order be given Dasti under the signature of the Court Master.
