Petitioners have approached this Court seeking quashing of FIR No.550/2008, dated 04.11.2008, registered at Police Station Mehrauli, for offences under Section 447 IPC, on the ground that the matter has been settled between the parties.

The present Petition has been filed for quashing of the aforementioned FIR on the ground that the parties have entered into a settlement agreement The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Petitioners are present in Court. Mr. Rakesh Kumar, the Attorney of Respondent No.2 is also present in Court. The Petitioners have been identified by their Counsel and the Investigating Officer. Mr. Rakesh Kumar has been identified by the Counsel for Respondent No.2. Mr. Rakesh Kumar states that the disputes with the Petitioners have been settled by the Respondent No.2 out of his own free will, without pressure, coercion or undue influence.

In view of the fact that the present matter is purely civil in nature and in view of the mutual settlement arrived at between the parties and also in view of the fact that the instant case is squarely covered by the law laid down by the Supreme Court in Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab, (2012) 10 SCC 303, and to ensure peace and harmony between the parties, this Court is satisfied that no useful purpose will be served in continuing with the present proceedings. Resultantly, FIR No.550/2008, dated 04.11.2008, registered at Police Station Mehrauli, for offences under Section 447 IPC and the proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed. The parties shall remain bound by the mutual settlement and the undertaking given to the Court.

The Petition stands disposed of in above terms. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
