% 28.10.2025 1.
This is a petition filed under Section 29A (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator by a period of 6 months.
2.
It is stated by learned counsel for the petitioner, that during the pendency of the arbitration proceedings, some settlement talks were going on and hence, the delay.
3.
On the last day of hearing, the respondent had been given time to file a reply. However, Ms. Yashi, learned counsel for the respondent requests for further time to file a reply, which I am not inclined to give. 4.
I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. 5.
For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended by a period of 6 months from today. 6.
The period from 30.04.2025 till today stands regularised. 7.
The petition is disposed of in aforesaid terms. JASMEET SINGH, J OCTOBER 28, 2025/sp The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 03/11/2025 at 15:11:13
