The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent no.2 (District Magistrate) to decide the petitioner's application, preferred under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 and the Rules made thereunder.

None appears for the petitioner. Ms Takiar, learned counsel appearing for the respondents points out that the present petition has been rendered infructuous as the concerned District Magistrate has already passed an order disposing of the petitioner's application.
