% 25.04.2026 The present matter has been taken up today, i.e. 25th April, 2026 as 3rd March, 2026, was declared a holiday.

The present writ petition has been filed praying for directions to the respondent no.2/BSES to install a fresh electricity connection in the property bearing No. RZ-98A/3, Upper Ground Floor, H. No. RZ-98-A/3, Kh. No. 92/25/2, Gali No. 8, Sadh Nagar, Palam Colony, New Delhi-110045. 2.
Mr. Sharique Hussain, counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent no.2/BSES submits that the electricity connection of the petitioner was disconnected on account of pending electricity dues. 3.
Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is willing to clear all pending dues. 4.
In these circumstances, the present writ petition is disposed of in the following terms:
i.

ii.
The petitioner shall clear all outstanding dues as communicated by the respondent no.2/BSES.
iii.
The petitioner shall comply with all the codal and commercial formalities as may be directed by the respondent no.2/BSES. iv.
Upon the petitioner complying with all the formalities and other directions, as may be issued by the respondent no.1/BSES, the respondent shall grant electricity connection in terms of the relevant rules and regulations.
v.
The respondent no.2/BSES shall not raise the issue of ownership while processing the application of the petitioner.
