This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator.

It is stated that the proceedings are at the stage of claimant's evidence. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits while the arbitral proceedings were pending, parties were in mediation to explore the possibility of amicable settlement to resolve the disputes, however, the negotiations failed and in the meantime the mandate expired on 09.09.2024. 3.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, the mandate of learned Arbitrator is extended by a period of 09 months from 26.09.2025 and period between 10.09.2024 to 25.09.2025 is regularized. 4.
