This is a petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 9 months from today for making and publishing the award.

It is stated that the matter is complex in nature and a large number of witnesses are to be examined and hence, the delay. 3.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Mr. Gupta, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.

I am satisfied that a sufficient cause has been shown. 6.

Hence, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by 9 months from today to conclude the arbitration proceedings. 7.
