This petition has been filed raising concerns over certain alleged illegal encroachments/constructions over a drain, which according to the petitioner, falls in Yamuna River.

Drawing our attention to certain documents filed in the writ petition, it has been stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that it is not that the authorities are not aware of the said alleged illegal encroachments/constructions however, no concrete action has been taken till date to remove the same.

The petitioner has already expressed its cause to the authorities and, accordingly, without entering into the merit of the claim of the parties, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the authority/authorities concerned to look into the grievances raised in this petition and take appropriate decision and action which may be warranted under law, with expedition.

Accordingly, the petition stands disposed of.
