CRL.M.C. 7576/2024 By way of the present petition filed under section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973, the petitioner seeks quashing of case FIR No.105/2012 dated 07.09.2012 registered under sections 420/468/471 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 at P.S.: Kamla Market, Delhi.

From the record, it transpires that chargesheet in the matter was filed on 24.05.2017; whereafter charges were framed inter-alia against the petitioner on 14.11.2018; and the trial has been going-on ever-since. Mr. Utkarsh, learned APP for the State appears on advance copy; and informs the court that 01 out of 09 prosecution witnesses have so far been examined and that there are 03 other co-accused persons in the matter.

After making some submissions, Mr. Bir Singh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits, that the present petition may be disposed-of, with a direction to the learned Trial Court to conduct the trial expeditiously, especially since the petitioner is based in Orissa and has been facing proceedings in Delhi for the last 12 years. 5.

In the circumstances, the petition is disposed-of requesting the learned Trial Court to conduct the trial in the matter as expeditiously as possible, subject to the systemic constraints. 6.

The petition stands disposed-of in the above terms. 7.

Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed-of.
