The petitioner has approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution in respect of alleged illegal and unauthorised construction in property Pillar No. 184, Aya Nagar, New Delhi. 2.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi ["MCD"] has filed a status report in which it is sated that demolition order was passed on 31.08.2023.

A further show cause notice has also been issued to the owners/occupants of the property on 24.09.2024, in respect of the basement, ground and first floor of the property. of the subject property is concerned, it has been sealed on 25.09.2024. Ms. Neha Rai, learned counsel for MCD states that further action will be taken in accordance with law upon consideration of the reply to the show cause notice, if any. Demolition order, if necessary, will be issued within four weeks from today and further consequential action will be taken as expeditiously as possible and in accordance with law. 4.

Mr. Bhoj Raj Yadav, learned counsel, appears on behalf of respondent No. 2 and states that respondent No. 2 has filed proceedings for regularisation of the construction. MCD will consider the said application also and pass necessary orders and take the matter to its logical conclusion, within the period three months from today. 5.

In view of the above, no further orders are required in this writ petition, which stands disposed of.
