The petitioner in the instant writ petition prays for directions to the respondents to reconsider the compensation application of the petitioner and enhance the maximum compensation amount to the extent of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakh only) with interest.

The Court, under similar circumstances, has directed the concerned District Victim Compensation Committee ['DVCC'] to reconsider the grievance of the victim.

In view of the aforesaid, it is directed that the concerned DVCC to reconsider the case of the petitioner for enhancement of the compensation in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order passed today.

All rights and contentions are left open.
