This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.254/2014 P.S.
Karawal Nagar which was initially filed under Sections 341/323/506/34 IPC basis an allegation made that a scuffle ensued between the neighbours relating to harassment of the son of complainants, which escalated thereafter.

Petitioner nos.1 to 4 and respondent no. 2 to 4 (complainants) are present in Court and are duly identified by IO and the respective counsels. 3.
Respondent nos. 2 to 4 state that they have no objection to quashing of the FIR since they have resolved their disputes with petitioners with intervention of senior members of the community. It is however stated that there were expenses incurred in treatment of injury of respondent no.4 to The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. the tune of Rs.1 lakh.

APP for the State however objects to quashing of FIR stating that charges have already been framed under Sections 308/325 IPC as respondent no.4 had sustained injuries on pivotal region of his head. 5.
Counsel for petitioners, on instructions, state that the petitioners are willing to pay the said amount of Rs.1 lakh.

Accordingly, petitioner nos. 1 to 4 will collectively pay Rs.1 lakh to respondent no.2 within a period of 2 weeks from today, in presence of the IO. Affidavit of compliance be placed on record of this Court, a week thereafter with copy to the IO.

Based on this settlement between the parties, considering that issue was a private dispute which has since been resolved, the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 25412014 PS-Karawal Nagar Delhi and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 8.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
