By way of the present application, the applicant is seeking early hearing of the above-captioned petition.

For the reasons mentioned in the application, the present application is allowed.

Issue notice. The learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State. 6.

All the four petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 5 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned, Police Station, Inder Puri, New Delhi. 7.

Brief facts of the case are that on 13.07.2019 a fight had broken out between the petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 5 wherein respondent nos. 2 to 5 sustained some simple injuries due to which various differences, disputes and issues had arisen between the petitioners and the respondent nos. 2 to 5. Upon the complaint by respondent no. 2, the present FIR came to be registered against the petitioners. It is stated that with the intervention of the family and friends, the parties have now amicably settled their dispute. 8.

On a query made by this Court, respondent nos. 2 to 5 who have been identified by the IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, they have no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 9.

In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 10.

Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 163/2019, registered at Police Station Inder Puri, New Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 308/323/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed subject to petitioners each submitting a sum of Rs. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
