This writ petition has been preferred seeking the following reliefs:

"(i) To Allow the present Writ Petition and direct the respondents not to disturb or dispossess the Petitioner from his squatting site at gate no. 5 RML, Hospital, New Delhi in terms of order dated 09/09/2013 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Maharashtra Ekta Hawkers Union & Anr vs. Municipal Corporation Gerater Mumbai & Anr reported in 2013(11) scale in the interest of justice; AND (ii) Direct the respondents to issue vending license and allot the vending site at gate no. 5 RML, Hospital, New Delhi to the petitioner in the interest of justice; AND/OR The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. (iii) Pass any other or further order(s)/direction(s) which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in favour of the Petitioner in the interest of justice."

Despite repeated queries learned counsel for the writ petitioner was unable to draw our attention to any material that may have been placed on the record to establish that the writ petitioners were vending at the site in question on the date when the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 came into force.

We, consequently, find no merit in the writ petition. It shall, consequently, stand dismissed.
