% 16.01.2025 CRL. M.A. 1160/2025 (modification of order dated 22.10.2024) 1.
The present application has been filed seeking modification of order dated 22.10.2024 to the extent that the surety amount of Rs. 1 lakh be reduced to Rs. 20,000/-.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted regular bail vide order dated 22.10.2024 subject to the condition that the petitioner shall furnish a personal bond in the sum of Rs. 1 lakh with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent/concerned court/Duty JM.

He submits that despite the bail having been granted by this Court, the petitioner has not been able to avail the benefit of the same for the reason that he has not been able to arrange the surety bond to the extent of Rs. 1 lakh.

Issue notice. Learned APP appearing on behalf of the State accepts notice.

Considering the fact that the bail was granted by this Court as early as on 22.10.2024 and the petitioner is languishing in jail only for the reason that he has not been able to arrange surety, this Court is inclined to reduce the surety amount from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 20,000/-. Ordered accordingly. 6.
However, the other conditions with regard to the personal bond in the sum of Rs. 1 lakh and those enumerated in para 5 of the order dated 22.10.2024 shall continue to remain in force. 7.
With the aforesaid modification, the present application is disposed of.
